Spaces mean OR. Use +term to require and -term to exclude.
Quotes switch to whole-word or exact-phrase matching.
Use author:"Name" to search only the Author field (quotes required).
Examples:
forest desert
+tank tree
-desert
"rings" matches whole-word rings but not offerings;
"dry lake" matches that exact phrase;
"+C++" and "A-10" keep literal symbols;
author:"Steel Rat" matches Author only;
author:"Steel Rat" +tank requires Author “Steel Rat” and also “tank”.
