Welcome to RPGMapShare.com, a place to share maps and mapping objects for any type of Role-Playing Game. The maps and objects are intended for use mainly with any of the various Virtual Tabletop applications, such as Battlegrounds or Maptool, but as long as you have a computer and a way to display images, you can use them for your games. We're about sharing here, so uploading of your own maps and objects is encouraged. Please follow the directions when uploading, especially regarding usage restrictions, and we'll all be happy. We'd also like to see you in the Forums, so stop by and say hi, tell us what types of games you play, how you use the images you've obtained here, etc. Enjoy! |
How-To link to an image here from another site.
Submitted by Steel Rat on Mon, 09/18/2006 - 1:52pm.
Generally this type of thing is frowned upon, sometimes known as Bandwidth theft. The preferred method of linking is to navigate to the page here which contains the image, and copy the URL. Then paste that URL into a link on another site as needed.
However, I understand the need to sometimes link to just an image. Here's how to do it:
- Navigate to the page containing the image you wish to link to.
- Right-click the image and select
- Copy Image Location (firefox), or
- Properties, then copy the Address(URL) section of the properties page to your clipboard (IE).
- Then paste that URL into the forum or website where you wish the image to appear.
