Welcome to RPGMapShare.com, a place to share maps and mapping objects for any type of Role-Playing Game. The maps and objects are intended for use mainly with any of the various Virtual Tabletop applications, such as Battlegrounds or Maptool, but as long as you have a computer and a way to display images, you can use them for your games. We're about sharing here, so uploading of your own maps and objects is encouraged. Please follow the directions when uploading, especially regarding usage restrictions, and we'll all be happy. We'd also like to see you in the Forums, so stop by and say hi, tell us what types of games you play, how you use the images you've obtained here, etc. Enjoy! |

Needs a lot of work
Submitted by Dorpond on Thu, 06/22/2006 - 12:35pm.I probably would have said "Uncertain yet because it is taking me forever to navagate this thing"
I have a hard time getting around. I think the software is confusing for an average user who wants to go to a website and download images. Perhaps after a few more hours I would know my way around better but at the moment, I seem to always be looking for simple things. I guess the question is this: Do you want people to come on for the first time and know exactly how to pull and post images? I fear that too much of a learning curve will send them to another google search.
Maybe after it is all tweeked and made user friendly by you (if possible), then I will change my mind.
I am glad though that you are helping bring the mapping community together though - THANKS!
(Good example here: I am looking for the button to post this so I am scrolling all over the place and all I see is a Preview Comment button. So I guess I have to preview before posting?)
Edit: Perhaps the stuff on the left side of the screen is the key to simplicity. As long as we can get to where we want to go from any screen we are currently in. If that can be accomplished, my vote will change to a YES.
I hear you

I am working to make things more friendly. I want to make the Gallery the first thing someone sees when they come into the site, just haven't figured out how to d that yet. I'm sure it's deceptively simple...
You are correct that the left side is your central source of information. Learning the Drupal terminology is a bit of a pain, and I'm looking into trying to make that more "standard".

Changed a couple options
Submitted by Steel Rat on Thu, 06/22/2006 - 6:24pm.Ok, you no longer HAVE to preview a forum comment before posting. I had forgotten about that one, bugged me too the first time I encountered it. Also placed the New Comment entry at the bottom of the comments instead of a different page.
