Welcome to RPGMapShare.com, a place to share maps and mapping objects for any type of Role-Playing Game. The maps and objects are intended for use mainly with any of the various Virtual Tabletop applications, such as Battlegrounds or Maptool, but as long as you have a computer and a way to display images, you can use them for your games. We're about sharing here, so uploading of your own maps and objects is encouraged. Please follow the directions when uploading, especially regarding usage restrictions, and we'll all be happy. We'd also like to see you in the Forums, so stop by and say hi, tell us what types of games you play, how you use the images you've obtained here, etc. Enjoy!

Hello World!

Submitted by DVUS on Sun, 05/18/2008 - 12:39pm.

Well, here I am and just wanted to post a quick introduction. I've been playing D&D for a little over a year and am totally nuts for it. I love fantasy and love using my imagination and love art... so they all combined and I've got a few maps I've drawn up for my D&D games that I decided to share. I mean, it's only fair, if I use maps I get from here, right?

The Best Kept Secret in Map Making

Submitted by gamerprinter on Tue, 05/22/2007 - 3:49pm.

I have just written the first draft of my new free Ebook - The Best Kept Secret in Map Making

The main focus of the book is to offer a tutorial guide for creating custom RPG maps, not using any of the traditional "RPG Map Making" packages. In fact nobody is currently using this application to create maps other than myself. The software developer does not realize the map-making potential of their own software.

Its really a vector drawing application, page-layout, with powerful image capabilities and effects. However its power, speed and ease of use blows CC3, Dundjinni, Dungeoncrafter and every other package out of the water.

Banner Ads

Submitted by Steel Rat on Wed, 07/26/2006 - 1:21pm.

Hello All,

As you may have noticed, I've added banner ads to the content area. So if anyone out there has an interest in adding a banner, please make sure it is 468x60 in dimensions, and prefereably less than 50k in filesize. Attach it to a private message to me with pertinant link info, and I'll put it in.

Yet another new feature

Submitted by Steel Rat on Mon, 06/26/2006 - 2:29pm.

I also added the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor, which allows Rich Text editing of topics, comments etc, though only to comments within the Drupal framework, not within the Gallery2 framework.

So if you're adding a comment to a gallery item, you won't see the TinyMCE editor.

The editor is easily disabled for those who may not care for it, by simply clicking the disable rich text link directly below the editor.

There are some neat features, such as:

  • Laughing Smilies
  • Tables
  • Search and replace
  • Date/Time insert
  • Image insert
  • Fullscreen mode
  • Much more...

New Features Added

Submitted by Steel Rat on Mon, 06/26/2006 - 12:27pm.

Added a couple new features:

[list][*]BBCode - Let's you use BBCode for message formatting, like you can with most popular forum packages. See the Inpout Format item when composing a post for more information.
[*]Private Messaging - You can now send and receive provate messages with other registered site users. When viewing a comment, use the Write To Author link to send that person a private message. Otherwise, use the User List link on the left nav bar and select a user, you can then send them a private message.
[/list]
