The gallery is back! Yes!

Again folks, sorry for the downtime. I checked some of my links on some of my DJ posts and they are still good. Keeping all my appendages crossed apparently helped, though it was hell trying to type Wink

I'll be making formatting changes in the coming days/weeks to make things more user-friendly, easy to find and communicate. So don't be alarmed if things are a bit different every day.

Upgrade

As you've no doubt noticed, I've had to undo most of the site functions. My server was upgraded to PHP 5.3 (at my request, for newer software), and broke many of the functions on this version of Drupal. So, I'll be spending much of today trying to upgrade.

Update 01/31/11: I'm still working on getting the gallery back in place. The database is intact, as are all the albums on the server drive. The trick is trying to get the galley software upgrade to complete properly. I'll be working on it this evening PST. Sorry folks!

Update 2/7/11: Ok, hopefully everyone can see this message now. I won't bore you with the details of why you couldn't, suffice to say it was my fault Wink The gallery database is intact and functioning as a standalone gallery, still working on getting it integrated into this version of Drupal. With any luck, we'll be back to "normal" this evening. Please cross all your appendages.

Update 2/9/11: Well, obviously we're not back to normal yet. But I'm working on the final gallery upgrade now. Currently backing up the gallery installation folder, and database, then will be upgrading to the latest Drupal-supported version.

Registration Email accounts

Due to the number of spammers insisting on registering and posting their nonsense here, I've had to block the use of free email accounts for registration. Certain other commonly-used email domains have been blocked as well.

For the curious, here are some site statistics, to give you some idea of how much RPGMapShare is used.

In the last year, the site has received 21,789,745 hits, had 187,615 unique visits (unique per day, I think), generated 4,872,312 pages, and served up 19,821,819 files. The total bandwidth for all this was 1,810,961,957 kbytes (that's 1.8 terabytes).

This is the first time I've really looked at these stats. I guess this site is pretty useful to a few folks Wink
